RTwo surfing tournaments anchor the Easter Festival: the Rip Curl GromSearch, presented by the Royal St Andrews Hotel, and the Royal St Andrews Hotel Rip Curl Cup, presented by The Royal St Andrews Hotel, an Open Speciality Surfing Event, and the Royal St Andrews Hotel SA Open Championships presented by Rip Curl.
The U16 Division of the Rip Curl GromSearch is the premier division in this series, and it has U12, U14, U16 and U18 Boys and Girls divisions.
The Royal St Andrews Hotel Rip Curl Cup is a World Surf League Qualifying Series event, 4,000 for the men and 2,000 for the women, with all surfers of any age invited to enter.
Along with the two surf events, the festival will include a South African Bodyboarding Challenge, as well as a Bowls event, a Croquet event, a Mad Hatter Golf Tournament, the Bands Innie Bush Music Festival and Beer Garden, the Port Alfred parkrun, the Four Elements Street Festival, the Good Time Fair, amateur boxing and the Ski Boat Club are going to hold a Fishing competition.
