The Van Der Riet Street Easter Egg-venture Street Festival
The Van Der Riet Street Easter Egg-venture Street Festival takes place on Saturday, 4 April 2026, from 09h00 to 14h00, shaping up as one of the most family-friendly highlights of the Port Alfred Easter Festival.
Van der Riet Street will once again transform into a lively pedestrian playground filled with colour, laughter, and simple, timeless fun.
The focus is firmly on kids and families. Classic games like Catch a Fish, Pop a Balloon, and Apple Bobbing will line the street, alongside an Easter Egg Hunt and a colouring-in competition hosted by PAHS.
Face painting, a jumping castle, and interactive activities will keep young festival-goers busy, while parents browse market stalls and exhibits.
Local restaurants will add to the atmosphere with street food specials alongside their regular menus, offering plenty of easy eats and sweet treats.
It is a relaxed, cheerful way to start the Saturday before the bigger crowds and louder stages gather pace elsewhere in town.
For a morning that belongs to the kids, yet offers something for everyone, Van Der Riet Street is where the Easter Egg-venture comes to life.
