Fancy A Game Of Tennis?
Get ready for the Sunshine Coast Open Tennis Tournament from the 30th to the 31st of March 2024 at the Port Alfred Tennis Club as part of the Port Alfred Easter Festival.
But first, an interview with Jo-Anne van Rensburg from the Port Alfred Tennis Club.
How long have you been involved with the Tennis club? My involvement with the tennis club goes back about ten years, on and off.
What is the best part of your job?
I’d say that the best part of the job is seeing people come together to enjoy the sport of tennis and make friends. That can be very rewarding.
What is your favourite place to be in Port Alfred?
That would have to be the Port Alfred Tennis Club.
What is the general standard of tennis in Port Alfred? Are there any exceptional juniors coming up or any specific talent that you might have noticed?
Overall, the general standard of tennis in Port Alfred is good to very good. We have also noted that a few talented juniors are coming up, so we shall see where that leads.
How do you feel about the Port Alfred Easter Festival at this stage?
It is very exciting and great for our town. I can’t wait for Easter.
